Ready to be the Lord's Servant? 🫱🏻🫲🏾
When we read the Christmas story, we have this sense that Mary was stepping into this romanticized role of abundant blessings. After all, we know the happy ending of the Christmas story and the fact that, ultimately, it met the biggest need in our life.
Hey, Joseph doesn’t leave her, no one stones her, and (while it would be plausible) the Bible doesn’t tell us anyone ridiculed her for claiming to be pregnant because she was carrying God in the Flesh.
We know that many obviously did not believe her though because later, as Jesus began his ministry, the attitude of those in their community were not positive.
However, Mary had set her self up for complete surrender to God despite all of the hardships that would follow. She was a humble servant.
If an angel appeared to us and told us to fear not and that we have found favor with God, would we automatically expect a life of ease or fame; or would we understand that most of the time His plans look nothing like our own?
They may look more like rejection from friends, taxation in Bethlehem, giving birth in a stable, and gifts arriving from strangers long after you think they should have. It may even include a simple life of a carpenter’s family with some people still rejecting the Savior you long for them to know. But, if God is magnified and His will is accomplished, it will result in a perfectly glorious ending.
Luke 1:46-47, 49 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

Crosspoint Kids Live Nativity - 10:30 am
Our annual Crosspoint Kids Christmas Live Nativity is coming up. This is a wonderful time to invite family and friends.
Practices will be each Sunday night, December 3 and 10, and will be at 5 pm sharp at the beginning of AWANA.

Volunteer Christmas Party - 5 pm
Every year, we get to celebrate the season with our volunteers. If you volunteer for any ministry here at Crosspoint, we want you to come and be a part of this fun and strengthening time.
The meal will be provided. No need to bring anything.
Childcare will be provided as well.
Please RSVP for the dinner by December 13, and let us know if you will be needing childcare as well.

Christmas @ Crosspoint
Christmas Eve falls on Sunday this year, and we are excited to celebrate with you. Invite your friends and family to Christmas Eve @ Crosspoint!
We’ll worship Jesus together and listen to a Bible message that reminds us of our Savior's birth. There will also be hot chocolate, coffee, and light refreshments to enjoy before and after the gathering.
