Summer time!☀️🌴
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
This is one of my favorite times of the year! The sun is out. We get to use our grills. Celebrations of one kind or another are happening frequently. Usually, there is a trip to the beach in there at least once. It’s fun to make the most of the summer!
Here are three recommendations for a truly fulfilling summer:
- Take some time to disconnect from the pull of parties, people, technology, and society in order to connect personally with your family. McKenzie, Noah, Luke, and I just took a few days away to disconnect and relax. It is amazing how the Lord worked in our lives as we took time to focus on Him and on one another. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of this kind of time with family. Even a purposeful “staycation” or a day off that is well planned can be especially restful and fulfilling.
- Reserve some time to focus on the Lord. Jesus Himself took time to get away alone with His Father. Those times of focus allowed Him to be strengthened to do the work that He was here to do.
- Look out for someone who needs encouragement. In the next few months, there is going to be a lot of growth and transitions in our church ministries. Look for those who are working extra hard and be an encouragement to them. Look for those who may be slipping away. Encourage them. Let the Lord use you to strengthen others this summer.
These summer days are wonderful gifts from God. We don’t want to waste a single one. Let God grow you this summer as you rest and experience the blessing of being used by the Lord to be an encouragement to others.

Crosspoint Camping Trip
We are excited to spend a few days together with our church family in the San Bernardino Mountains. This will be a wonderful time of fellowship and connection with one another as we enjoy the beauty of God's creation.
All meals included. Special dietary needs are your own responsibility.
