Raised to New Life 🕊️🙌🏼
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
We are still rejoicing over the blessings of God on our church family and services last week. We had so many first time guests, at least two shared with us that they trusted in Jesus as their Savior, and we had two men baptized. What better way to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior than having people identify with His sacrifice and resurrection through baptism?
Praise the Lord!
Thinking about baptism, as believers, we are set free from sin and made alive by God so we can live for God. Baptism is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to live His way. Another word that describes this attitude of the heart is surrender.
We surrender control over our lives to Jesus along with our “right” to live our life our own way in order to fulfill His higher purpose and plan. We truly live a new life in Christ Jesus.
This may sound difficult, and it is because of our flesh and pride. Our loving and gracious Lord has given us His Spirit to enable us and give us the strength and grace we need to live this new life. Living this new life consists of simply following Jesus one step at a time.

We get to go serve Jesus and encourage new believers in their walk with the Lord at SoCal Harvest. Some of the top Christian bands will be there leading us as we worship Jesus, and Pastor Greg Laurie will deliver a powerful Gospel message. Mark your calendars and plan to go with us.
