Hosannaš
This Sunday, believers around the world celebrate Palm Sunday. It is an important remembrance of Jesusā triumphant entry into Jerusalem, riding a donkey colt (as prophesied), and being worshipped and praised. Multitudes of people filled the streets laying palm branches in His path and shouting, āHosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.ā
They publicly declared Jesus to be the Son of David (a prophetic reference to Messiah), and they cried, āHosanna,ā which means, āSave us we pray!ā
These worshipped Jesus as He deserved. What are some ways that we can express our worship for Christ as He deserves? I have a few listed here.
- Spend time with Him daily in Bible reading and prayer
- Faithfully attend the services and Bible studies of your local church
- Sing to Him
- Tell others about His gracious gift of salvation
- Give generously to support the Gospel ministry of your local church
