One with Jesus☝️
Jesus was talking to His Father not long before His crucifixion and said:
“Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with my joy. I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth. I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.“ (John 17:13-21)
Church family, I have had unity on my heart often lately. God calls us to be one in Him and to yield to His Word so that we are sanctified (set apart) through His truth. His Word is truth.
The evil one Jesus mentioned in verse 15 wants to steal your joy and destroy your testimony. He wants to cause us to be divided as believers and ineffective in reaching the world with the Gospel. Satan loves Christians who are fighting with one another and fearful. It makes God look weak to the world around us.
Jesus prayed that we would be one just as He and the Father are one. That’s some kind of amazing oneness!
This kind of oneness - unity - will enable us to be more effective as the world sees that Jesus is real, that He truly is the Prince of peace, and that He is love. The world will see that Jesus was truly sent by the Father, and they will believe on Him.
Crosspoint, I love you, and I know this can be done because Jesus said it can be done, but it can only be done if we all align ourselves with Jesus. If I am following the Spirit and you are following the Spirit, He will bring unity and powerful effectiveness for the sake of the Gospel!

Our prayer team gathers every other week. Join us for prayer for God to be glorified as He does His work in our lives, our church, our community, our nation, and our world. All are invited.

Easter @ CrosspointLA
Invite your friends and family to come with you as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will start with breakfast that will be served at 10 am followed by an exciting outdoor service at 10:30 am.
Meanwhile, the kids will enjoy their own church service in the auditorium. They will have fun as they sing songs, play games, hunt for eggs, and (most importantly) hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
