Matthew 6:19-21 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
It’s was once said, “Only one life twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last."
This thought is summed up perfectly in the life of Jim Elliot.
Jim Elliot was a passionate Christian missionary known for his work with the Huaorani people (also called the Waodani) in Ecuador during the mid-20th century. He, along with four other missionaries, sought to share the Gospel with this remote and previously unreached tribe. In 1956, at the age of 28, Jim and his colleagues were killed by the Huaorani, a tragic event that initially seemed like a failure, but it led to a remarkable transformation in the tribe.
Jim Elliot's legacy has been marked by his dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering faith. His journal entries and writings, particularly the famous phrase "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose," continue to inspire Christians worldwide.
His wife, Elisabeth Elliot, later returned to the tribe, where many Huaorani members became Christians, showing the powerful impact of their ministry. Jim's life and death have been a testament to the belief that God's plan can unfold in unexpected ways, even through tragedy.
Disaster ReliefThe Eaton fire devastated Altadena, Pasadena, and the surrounding areas. Many homes were destroyed and families displaced. Crosspoint has been blessed to serve our community by distributing waters, delivering air purifiers, giving clothes, as well as providing gift cards and some financial assistance.
We now have the opportunity to partner with Samaritan's Purse to help families clean their homes and search for personal items on properties that burned. If you would like to be a part of this effort, go to spvolunteer.org or call 626-808-6653.

February 27 - 6:30 PM
Crossroads Community Church in Valencia is hosting an event to discuss the topic Why does God allow devastating fires. Guest speaker, Dr. Al Mohler will address this biblically and help to bring comfort and clarity in a time of heartache in our community.
There will also be a special gift for emergency responders.
In & Out burgers will be served (FREE) from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.

Membership Class

Join us from 6:30 to 9 pm for our upcoming Membership Class at Pastor Phillip and McKenzie's house. Dinner will be provided during the class. Please note that there will be no childcare available.

Cary is the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newington, CT. He has authored several books (done, Stop Trying, Real Christianity, Steady Strength, and more) that have been a tremendous help to many people.
If you are serving - especially in a leadership capacity, this is one event that you don't want to miss. Breakfast and childcare will be provided.

Each month this year, we are featuring a different ministry team. We are grateful for the way each team serves so faithfully to help us accomplish the ministry to which God has called us.
Media Team
We often hear from guests that they watch a few services online before attending in person. Our media team works hard to make sure our livestream and audio both in house and online are the best. We believe in the power of prayer. We would love for you to join us for this special time to seek the Lord together before the morning service.
Sunday @ 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM - Worship gathering
During the 9:30 service, there will be childcare through age 5.
During the 11:30 worship gathering, we will have childcare through 4th grade.
Check-in for childcare starts 15 minutes prior to each gathering.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - Bible Study
Come each Wednesday for Bible study. Be strengthened in your walk with the LORD and your connection with our church family.
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM - AWANA
Our exciting discipleship program for kids continues on Wednesday night from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Bring your kids to join the fun and learn God's Word! (Check in starts at 6:45 PM)
